Descriptif

Teaching will stress an inter-disciplinary approach, putting students in realistic situations in which they will have to call upon relevant and varied skills, methodologies and professional practices. This training will also encourage a certain degree of specialisation according to the students career objectives.

The master is based on 5 basic disciplines offered in the core curriculum where the interdisciplinary nature of public health issues will be stressed:
*social sciences and public health behaviour,
*management and analysis of health policies,
*epidemiology,
*information sciences and biostatistics,
*environmental and occupational health sciences.
Language classes will be offered to international students who are not familiar with French and, conversely, to French-speaking students who want to have a greater proficiency in English.

For year 1, in order to be compatible with the schedule of full-time professionals, classes will be delivered every fortnight (Friday and Saturday) from September to mid June. Students will be asked to work between weekends (distance-learning facilities).
M1 will be made of four components: A basic core curriculum, five case studies, three interdisciplinary tracts, a week abroad.
For M2, classes will be full time and very intensive, with two revision periods to prepare the modules validation exams. M2 will be made of five components: Five mandatory modules, two interdisciplinary tracts on Global Health and Emerging Diseases (also mandatory), two "minors" (i.e. orientation modules chosen among the five proposed fields), three "majors", (i.e. specialization modules) and an individual practicum.
